Seeking Relationships

Seeking relationships to find love is not ideal. It means you are lonely and bored and desire affection, excitement, or spice.

True happiness is found within yourself where you are content being alone. If you are unable to live alone and be at peace with yourself, seeking relationships will only mix your misery with others.

It may be nice to have a relationship but don’t actively pursue someone to love. If it comes, allowing it to unfold naturally can lead to more genuine connections.

By actively seeking love with someone, you become imbalanced and distracted from the very thing you should be focusing on. Loneliness is a state of being apart from God. It is a yearning for the love of those people you once relied on, but who ultimately led you astray.

False relationships with the world alter our true essence. We become overly influenced by people, places, experiences, and things. Our own identity becomes displaced by another identity. This new identity is dependent on those who put it there in us.

The Key

Excitement caused by others can be detrimental to our well-being. Exciting individuals thrive on provoking strong reactions from those around them. The excitement could either be pleasing or cruel. We can be corrupted by love or by hate. This reliance on external validation can lead to manipulation and harm.

The key to navigating such situations lies in maintaining a sense of calm and detachment, refusing to be swayed by either praise or criticism. By relinquishing pride and ego, one can avoid falling into the trap of being controlled by others’ actions. Resist the urge to be swayed by excitement and you can protect yourself from potential harm and maintain a sense of inner peace.

If someone tells you how great a person you are, be not moved or excited. Please don’t fall for it. If someone condemns you, don’t take it personally, let it pass. Being unmoved by either of these situations, you will live longer and in peace.

Your ego when separated from God is dead; it is alive in sin with something exciting to tempt you. It is the life that leads to death instead of the life that leads to life. Give up your pride, ego, judgments, and impulse to respond to any temptation, to receive the true life.
